Creating the conditions for all youth to maximise their potential so that they can build the future they want to see.
Stand Tall exists to unlock potential by supporting young people to navigate education, work and community life with confidence.
Stand Tall works alongside schools, community organisations, employers and funders to strengthen how pathways are experienced from a young person’s perspective. Rather than delivering predefined pathways, the focus is on building the capabilities that help people make sense of options, stay engaged through uncertainty and move forward over time.
Stand Tall does not provide an end-to-end pathway system, nor does it seek to replace existing services. Its contribution sits in a specific and often missing layer: activating transferable capabilities that enable young people to engage more meaningfully with education, employability and community opportunities already in place.
This work integrates into existing programmes and initiatives, increasing their effectiveness by strengthening exploration, reflection and navigation at key decision points.
Stand Tall is supported by a small team and a governing board with experience across education, community development, entrepreneurship and systems change.
Together, they hold responsibility for strategic direction, organisational integrity, partnership stewardship, and financial and operational oversight.

Stand Tall operates in a bicultural context and is committed to working in ways that align with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The organisation does not appropriate Māori language or frameworks, and instead focuses on respectful allyship and partnership with Māori organisations and leaders.
Accountability is held through transparent relationships with partners and funders, continuous reflection on practice, and a commitment to learning from what works — and what doesn’t.
