How we work
Stand Tall works by learning alongside young people as they navigate education, work and community life. We use delivery as a learning platform, working in partnership to test, reflect, and share insight about what supports effective transitions over time.

Working across two lenses

Some of this work is experienced directly by young people, educators and partners. Programmes are delivered collaboratively and shaped by local context, focusing on practical capability, confidence and movement through real situations. Attention is paid to what changes for participants, as demonstrated through their actions, decisions and next steps.
At the same time, this work surfaces patterns in how systems operate around young people. In practice, there is often space to recognise ideas, projects and potential, but limited coordination to help nurture them beyond initial stages. Learning from these gaps informs how approaches are adapted and how partnerships can better support movement from capability-building into application and launch.

I became more confident speaking up, taking feedback, and backing my ideas, even when it felt uncomfortable.

What guides decisions

Work is collaborative by design and shaped alongside partners and participants.
Evidence is drawn from lived experience as well as evaluation and reflection.
Learning informs change; approaches are adjusted as conditions evolve.
Roles and boundaries are respected, particularly where leadership sits elsewhere.
Commitments are taken seriously, with care for the resources and trust involved.
This approach reflects a belief that lasting change comes from staying with complexity long enough for learning to take hold.
