Are you passionate about business and innovation, and dedicated to empowering young people in the Bay of Plenty region? An exciting opportunity awaits you at Stand Tall, a non-profit organisation committed to fostering and developing the entrepreneurial skills and mindset of individuals aged 15 to 24.

As the Entrepreneurship Programme Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to promote and coordinate and deliver Stand Tall activities, cultivating an enterprising culture among the youth in our region.
 
The focus of this role includes:

Planning, coordinating, and delivering the YES (Young Enterprise Scheme) programme in local secondary schools and the community, contributing to its local and national development.
Planning, coordinating, and delivering the Batch Accelerator (Brave Venture) programme in the community.
Establishing a community entrepreneurship programme for young people.
Serving as a liaison between the business community and school teachers, encouraging students in their entrepreneurial endeavours.
Supporting the Stand Tall kaupapa, the Stand Tall wider team, and collaborating effectively with our partners.
Establishing connections with businesses, universities, tertiary education institutions, community groups, and keynote speakers, coordinating logistics for program-related events and activities.
Demonstrating flexibility in adapting programs to cater to diverse learning styles and meet the unique needs of each group and school community.


Stand Tall is seeking an individual with the following skills and attributes:

Resilience – adapts and pivots effectively in response to changes.
Honest and trustworthy – setting an example while working with teenagers is crucial.

To be considered, you should have:

A strong interest in business and a passion for working with young people aged 15-24, facilitating group activities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with schools, young people, and business stakeholders.
Effective organisational skills for planning logistics, attendance, and coordination of program-related events.
An excellent team player attitude, with the ability to support and collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners.
Strong written communication skills.
Basic use of Google for Enterprise (Docs, Calendar, Email, Sheets) and a willingness to learn.
Some mastery of social media (Instagram, LinkedIn) for posting content related to programs and events.
A driver's licence and a clean police check.
Knowledge of the Young Enterprise Scheme and its objectives, and/or other entrepreneurial programs or events (Startup Weekend, Pitch competitions, etc.) - desirable but not mandatory

This role is primarily office-based in Tauranga, with out-of-office duties such as visiting schools and delivering events, and the possibility to work remotely for some tasks.
Part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) or more - salary negotiable depending on skills and experience.
